What you're buying
Buying ColdArchive gives you the right to use it, with no time limit.
- Personal license — one Mac that you use.
- Family license — up to three Macs in the same household.
- It isn't a subscription. You pay once and are never billed again.
- Updates within the same major version (1.0 → 1.4) are free. The next major version (2.0) may be a paid upgrade — we'll tell you before that happens.
Refunds
14 days, no questions asked. Tell us within 14 days of buying and you get your money back in full. We don't ask why, we don't ask you to prove anything, and there is no exception to this. Payments run through Paddle, our merchant of record, so the refund is issued by them — you can start it yourself in a minute, or ask us and we'll do it for you. Your country may also give you a statutory right to withdraw (14 days in the EU, EEA and UK; 7 days in South Korea); where that gives you more, it wins.
Start here: paddle.net — or email support@deepon.kr and we will do it for you.
Backups are still your job
We won't be vague about this. ColdArchive is a tool that moves files, and every tool that moves files carries risk. Disks fail, cloud accounts get locked, and we may have bugs we haven't found.
This app is not a backup. Keep using Time Machine or whatever you use. That said, here's what we've built so the risk isn't yours alone:
- You see the list first, and nothing is touched until you say so.
- Turn on rehearsal and it only observes for a few days — any file used even once drops off the list.
- A restore script is placed in the archive folder. Everything goes home without this app, without internet, without even the Mac you started on.
- Files inside git repositories, hidden files, and any folder you exclude were never candidates.
Warranty and limits
This software is provided as is. We make no warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent the law allows, Deep-On Inc. is not liable for data loss or for indirect or incidental damages arising from use of this software, and in any case total liability will not exceed what you paid.
That's the standard paragraph every software licence carries, but it doesn't mean we'll shrug. If something goes wrong, tell us. What can be fixed, gets fixed.
What you may not do
- Don't resell the software, and don't share or distribute your license key.
- Don't reverse-engineer, copy, or redistribute modified versions. (The weather helper will be published separately as source; that part follows its own licence.)
If these terms change
The “last updated” date at the top changes with them. We won't retroactively reduce the rights of anyone who has already bought.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes fall under Korean courts. Where consumer protection law in your country grants you stronger rights, those rights come first.
Getting in touch
